The Arkells Blink Twice new Album

Canadian rock group The Arkells have enlisted the talents of some homegrown musicians for their upcoming album.

The Hamilton rockers have revealed that their 7th studio project “Blink Twice” will feature songs with Calgary’s Tegan and Sara, Joel Plaskett of Halifax, and Timmins, ON native Lights.

The group’s new single “Dance With You”, which is a bouncy electro-disco song features U.S. singers Aly & AJ and Montreal’s Coeur de Pirate a.k.a. Beatrice Martin. On “Dance With You”, frontman Max Kerman sings in French and English with Martin who wrote the French part of the verses.

“Blink Twice” which is the follow-up to last year’s “Blink Once” is set for release on Sept. 23rd. Both projects were written deep into the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cold War Kids and Wesley Schultz of The Lumineers round out the list of artists that appear on the album.

The Arkells will be performing at Hamilton’s Tim Hortons Field this upcoming Saturday. The rockers will then embark on a tour that will cross Canada including stops in BC, Saskatchewan, and Quebec throughout July then returns out west to perform in cities in Manitoba, Alberta, and more throughout October.

The Hamilton rockers just finished opening a refurbished basketball court in Hamilton named “The Rally Court” which is the name of their current tour.
