Pat Stay Victim Stabbing

Battle rapper Pat Stay was the victim of a fatal stabbing in downtown Halifax early Sunday, The Hoopla Show has learned.

Halifax Regional Police have not identified the victim as of yet, but his brother Peter Stay has confirmed the identity to the CBC.

The police said they were called to the area of 1600 block of Lower Water Street around 12:36 a.m. (AT) where they found a man in need of serious medical attention.

Stay was taken to the hospital where he eventually died shortly after.

Pat Stay was a battle rap champion who used witty and comedic rhymes to verbally undress his opponents.

More recently, the Canadian battle rap star made headlines this past August after challenging The Game to a battle over his Eminem diss track, “The Black Slim Shady,”. Instead of responding, The Game blocked Stay on IG prompting the rapper to write “Warm Up” dissing the U.S. California rapper.

In just two days the song has already garnered overĀ  50,000 views.

Police are asking anyone with information about the stabbing to call them at 902-490-5020.
